The Business Margins Observatory, promoted by the Ministry of Economy and as unions long for and employers criticize, will publish its first report today. It will do so by crossing data from the Tax Agency, the National Statistics Institute (INE) and the Bank of Spain. It is the premiere promised by the vice president and Minister of Economy, Nadia Calviño, in what her ministry describes as an exercise to provide social agents and analysts with increasingly qualitative information. Last Monday the ministry, the Secretary of State for Economy, Gonzalo García Andrés, called a meeting to explain to the social agents how the observatory works, but only the UGT and CC.OO guests attended, while the employers stood up the ministry.
The Observatory will offer data by sectors The observatory does not require additional information from companies and operates by adding statistics that are currently in the hands of the three Job Function Email Database aforementioned institutions, with the stated objective of promoting effective competition in the markets for goods and services and an adequate distribution of income. The report will be published broken down by sector. In this sense, Economy recognizes that there is a very different reliability of the data depending on each sector, given that in some, especially those where SMEs and the self-employed abound, there is much less information.
The CEOE's opposition to this observatory is well known, as it considers it an interventionist tool that will serve to point the finger at companies, and less interest now, with the elections in sight.Secret Service agents were making routine rounds Sunday when they found the white powder in an area accessible to tour groups, not in any particular West Wing office, officials said. The officials were not authorized to discuss an ongoing investigation and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. The complex was evacuated around 8:45 pm on Sunday when fire and emergency crews arrived to conduct a rapid test, which preliminarily identified cocaine. The White House was soon reopened and the powder was sent for further testing.
